Barbara Lahut is a board-certified nurse practitioner who specializes in obstetrics and gynecology. She completed her advanced nursing degree from Community General Hospital Nurse Practitioner Program in Syracuse, NY, and received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the State University of New York at Albany in Albany, NY. Barbara has been passionate about women’s health since earlier in her career as a labor and delivery nurse in the hospital setting. As a nurse practitioner, she has experience working in a teen residential facility, inner-city clinics, and private community practices.
Barbara has participated in medical missions to Central America and the Caribbean and volunteers with the Cancer Services Program to offer screening examinations for uninsured women. What Barbara enjoys most about her position is helping educate women about their health, bodies, and well-being. Her focus is generally on preventive measures that will improve the quality of life for many decades.
